Details:SUMMARY MSPRC Quality Assurance Specialist performs Quality Assurance functions for the Medicare Secondary Payer Recovery Contract (MSPRC) to include MSPRC subcontractors, auditing Call Center operations and MSP correspondence work performed to ensure quality standards are met as required by the MSPRC Statement of Work (SOW). ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Provides technical and administrative direction for personnel performing a broad array of tasks. Reviews work products, including subcontractors’ work, and program documentation for correctness and adherence to all MSPRC Standard Operating Procedures and government standards/requirements, and for progress in accordance with schedules. Specifically and sufficiently audits documents for adherence to governing policies (SOPs). Develops and documents quality assurance standards, and defines and tracks quality assurance metrics. Coordinates with the MSPRC Program Director and/or Quality Assurance Manager to ensure problem solution, user satisfaction, and makes recommendations regarding efficiency improvements for approval of work products and deliverables. Evaluates random samples of document types and reports findings to management. Identifies possible training issues, error trends, reports findings accordingly and follows through on Quality Assurance findings, suggests process improvements and provides support/monitors/tracks for those improvements as required. Uses established call monitoring system (Witness or other) to review random sampling of incoming calls to ensure quality standards are met. Aids in preparing quarterly reports to upper management and must be prepared to report on QA material to colleagues and subordinates with efficiency and accuracy. Performs administrative activities, including compiling, storing, tracking, and retrieving data for reports. Ability to travel as required. Maintains a thorough knowledge of MSP statutes, regulations, MSPRC computer systems and MSPRC Standard Operating Procedures, including primary contract operations in the functional areas of the MSPRC call center and MSP correspondence from beneficiaries, attorneys, and other insurance companies. Proven understanding and applications of government documentation standards are essential as is the proven ability to work independently or under only general direction. Able to quantify figures for management review via Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, or other querying software. Reports must be sufficiently controlled and archived in such a manner that each QA Specialist can present QA information necessary to management upon request. Knowledge of data warehousing and extraction. Maintains confidentiality and upholds standards for privacy and data integrity and security. Works in a team environment and is expected to assist other team members as needed while maintaining the integrity of applicable MSPRC Standard Operating Procedures. Trains co-workers on work processes as requested by management. Determines and documents appropriate guidelines for all quality assurance measurements. Demonstrates the ability to construct, document, and implement any approved procedural changes. Responsible for adherence to qualitative and quantitative standards as established to meet contractual obligations and changing business requirements. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Accounting, Information Systems, or Business, from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in analysis and design of business applications on complex systems, including SQL software / warehousing of all collected data. QA Specialist must has a minimum of two years experience in audit, bookkeeping or other business related quantification. Call center experience, particularly in time management and monitoring. Experience includes specific and increasing responsibilities in assignments of technical and analytical nature. Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word are required. Knowledge of Microsoft Access and SQL querying software.

Details:CASUALTY SPECIALIST   After one hundred years of actively representing the interests of motorists and other travelers, AAA has grown to nearly 45 million Members strong in the U.S. and Canada.  Our products include; Emergency Road Service, Auto and Homeowner's insurance, AAA Approved Auto Repair shops, Driver Education programs, special cruise and tour packages, and Member discounts around the world.  With all these offerings, we confidently stand behind our commitment to provide safety, security and peace of mind.   Job Summary   Responsible for handling, managing, investigating, negotiating, settling and/or resolving complex claims with exposure valued less than $25,000 with minimal supervision.  Duties include, but are not limited to: External communication completed in writing, by telephone and by electronic means (e.g., e-mail). Assigned as Owning/Adjuster when injury exposure is identified Handles simple to moderate 1st and 3rd party auto cases involving injury Handles 1st party Medical payment and Uninsured Motorists claims including ADB (Auto Death Benefit) claims Handles liability injury claims Assists in catastrophes and/or injury phone queue Potentially handles Personal Injury Protection and out of state claims 1st Priority in First Notice of Loss casualty queue Making coverage determinations and advising customers as to proper course of action related to coverage issues Conducting investigative work of a complex nature (interviewing witnesses; obtaining and analyzing evidence, including medical records; deciding whether an independent medical examination is warranted; etc.) Making liability determinations Evaluating potential for subrogation and initiating initial notice of subrogation request Developing negotiating strategies Negotiating with claimant or claimant's attorneys Making final decisions to settle within settlement authority, without supervisory approval Presenting cases in committee setting when seeking above settlement authority level; thereafter, independently negotiating and settling the claim
