Primary Responsibility Responsible for the daily quality operations of the project, including submittal tracking, review, and approval for all materials, conducting the preparatory, initial, and follow-up inspections for all features of work, coordination of testing services and supplemental inspections, and coordination with the owner’s quality assurance representative to ensure all project requirements are met. Continually update the Project Manager of progress, issues and problems. The Quality Control Manager is responsible for implementation of contract documents and achievement of quality and safety requirements. The Quality control Manager must work with the project Superintendent to coordinate all aspects of the project and provide external interests a consistent project team. Responsibilities 1. Oversee each stage of project, communicate daily and weekly via phone and written report with the Project Manager in order to keep the manager apprised of progress of project and associated issues or problems that may affect progress. The method and frequency of communication will be coordinated with the Project Manager. 2. Coordinate with outside testing agencies and supplemental inspections to ensure contract compliance. 3. Receive, log, and submit all test reports and inspection reports. 4. Prepare submittal register and inform subcontractors what submittals are required for their scope of work. 5. Request submittals from subcontractors in accordance with the subcontract documents. 6. Receive, track, review, and approve all submittals. 7. Prepare color board if necessary. 8. Review contract documents and assists the Project Manager in preparing the construction schedule. 9. Adhere to company’s purchasing procedures while ordering or receiving any needed material and equipment within delegated authority. 10. Coordinate and administer weekly safety meeting with METS Coordinator, subcontractors, suppliers and TRG field personnel. 11. Monitor daily quality, making adjustments as needed. Continually review contract documents for coordination issues prior to delivery of every product to site for installation. Identify items to be submitted as Request for Information to the Architect/Engineer or Owner prior to problem development at the project. 12. Inspect the project daily for quality and safety. Identify items for improvement, implement changes by coordinating with appropriate individuals with respective subcontractor or supplier. 13. Review and ensure deliveries/invoices are timely and accurate. Provide direction to Project Engineer on critical path items in order to determine priorities to maintain schedule. 14. Communicate with local authorities on local interests as required. No contact with news reporting entities is permitted unless coordinated through CEO. 15. Coordinate with the Superintendent to administer weekly project meetings with Project Manager, subcontractors, suppliers and TRG field personnel. 16. Update “as-built” conditions or changes in contract documents and coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers and TRG field personnel for implementation. A minimum of a weekly update is required. 17. Maintain and update safety logs. 18. Ensure all certificates and final inspections have been obtained prior to project close out. 19. Create punch list for subcontractors, suppliers and TRG personnel for completion prior to Substantial Completion. After Substantial Completion, review, identify pertinent subcontractors and verify completion of Architect’s punch list timely. Test alarm systems, return keys to owner and ensure mechanical systems are tested prior to close out. 20. Coordinate with Project Manager to ensure all Close-out Documents including the as-built drawings are complete and submitted for the project. 21. Carry out any other assigned tasks given by the Project Manager. 22. Monitor staffing needs, evaluate performance, and address employee relation issues as warranted for field staff. Expectations 1.
